Ingredients
- 20 dried figs
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 lemon, squeezed
Directions
Figs are an island favourite. Known as a super food, figs contain iron, potassium, calcium, magnesium, dietary fibres, and vitamins A, B1 and B2. Figs are not considered Vegan.
If choosing fresh figs, reduce water to a couple of tablespoons.
Bring all items to a boil, reduce and reserve as a jam.
Serve with 40 Knots Pinot Noir and a charcuterie plate with hard cheese, or try it with your grilled cheese.
