The Sieg. It’s all about the nose; it initially seems bolder than it is. The taste, however, is wonderfully delicate, with well-rounded honeysuckle and lychee notes. It’s definitely my favourite of all our whites.

Having spent over two decades in Canmore, Alberta, we made the decision just last year to trade the snowy winters for the unique experience of island living here in Comox. It’s quite a change of pace from the Rockies, and we’re incredibly excited about this new chapter and exploring all that Vancouver Island has to offer.

My background has always been in roles that involve connecting with people and creating positive experiences. For many years in Canmore, I worked in the vibrant restaurant industry, gaining valuable experience in serving bartending and various managerial roles. Following that, I pursued a career as a flight attendant, which perfectly allowed me to combine my love for travel with the opportunity to meet individuals from all walks of life.

Upon moving to Comox, I quickly realized I wanted to be home more often, allowing me the time to explore the stunning beauty of the island. I was fortunate enough to be welcomed into the 40 Knots Winery team as a Wine Ambassador, where I thoroughly enjoyed sharing our exceptional wines and the unique story of our vineyard with visitors.

A few months ago, an exciting opportunity arose to step into the wholesale side of the business, and I enthusiastically jumped at the chance. This new role allows me to once again get out and about, not only to continue exploring more of this beautiful island that I now call home but also to be able to share the magic and quality of 40 Knots wines and ciders with a wider audience.

When I’m not in the tasting room or out representing the winery, you can most likely find me on a trail in the woods, exploring new places with my partner and my dog Kai, or out on the water paddling with friends.
