Hi, I’m Kyah, a proud Courtenay local and passionate wine ambassador at 40 Knots Winery. I first joined the team in 2024 and returned in 2025 to take on dual roles as a Wine Ambassador in the tasting room and Event Shift Supervisor.
At 40 Knots, I get to combine my love of hospitality, wine, and sustainability. Whether I’m guiding a tasting, sharing stories about our estate wines, or helping someone find their new favourite bottle, I love creating welcoming, memorable experiences. I’m especially proud to represent a winery that focuses on natural, low-intervention winemaking and deep respect for the land.
As an Event Shift Supervisor, I help coordinate everything from intimate wine and cheese pairings to large community gatherings and weddings. I enjoy the fast-paced energy of events and the behind-the-scenes work that helps everything run smoothly—from staff support to guest service.
Returning to 40 Knots felt like coming home. The winery’s commitment to biodynamics, eco-conscious farming, and crafting wines that truly express Vancouver Island’s coastal terroir continues to inspire me. Every day is a chance to learn something new and share that passion with guests.
